Audio Shifter
|
SUMMARY
This project is in the early stages of development. The device will remap the high frequencies of
the audio spectrum to the low frequencies, making it possible to listen to
sounds otherwise inaudible.
APPLICATIONS
- The first version will remap the 15kHz-20kHz spectrum to 20Hz-5kHz.
Elderly people and anybody who has lost perception of that audio range,
will be able to hear those sounds.
- Successive versions using the same technology can make it possible to hear the ultrasonic range.
- The device can also be reprogrammed to alter the voice pitch.
An example would be to allow an elderly lady to answer the door with a male voice,
for security reasons.
- Musical applications
- Bat detector
